Nowhere Kansas USA 16X v1.0.0.0 for FS2019
Introducing the Nowhere Kansas USA 16x map.
A fictional map, not based on any particular location, just a fun challenge map for FS play…
For folks who are tired of hilly maps with built-out farms, farm areas that cannot be sold, various sellpoints that don’t stay open or don’t accept everything, who want room to expand and do as they please, to use a 150 foot wide cultivator or a 20 car gravity wagon road train…
Finally, this is the map for you!
The very name of the map, as well as the buy and sell points, poke fun at various “facets” of past FS play… from the “middle of nowhere” name to the “it’s as flat as Kansas” popular American expression, to the absurdly cheap “purchase anything” point to the absurdly profit making “sell everything” point, this map is pure FS fun.
This map is 16 default maps worth of empty space for you to do with as you please… there is only one sellpoint, and in the greatest of unrealistic traditions in all of FS, it takes ALL of anything you want to sell, short of logs. Using it is painfully easy, simply back up to the edge of the huge pit and dump… massive amounts of cold hard cash will appear in your account!
Additionally, there is one special location on the map where you can buy anything you want…
ACME Sell It All specializes in providing whatever you need at dirt cheap prices… using the very latest in replicator technology, they provide it right there, on the spot, as needed!
There are no farms anywhere on the map, you will need to design your own… all the land is buyable at dirt cheap prices, except for the county highway right-of-way and the sell and buy businesses.
This map is equipped with full Seasons compatibility, a seasonsmask has been added and the foliage layers will change with the seasons.
This map also has the anhydrous fill and spray type added (which first appeared for FS in the Emerald Coast USA map) additionally it has the pre-compost and compost types.
Alfalfa has also been added to the map… (note: for all the custom filltypes, special bunkers and equipment will be needed)
This map does NOT incorporate the Multi Terrain Angle mod, as this mod does not function with 16x maps… some sort of game engine issue.
There is plenty of work here, so enjoy farming in the middle of nowhere, in Kansas, USA!
• In “New Farmer” mode you start with some equipment, some money and the clothes on your back. If you start in the hard modes, you get nothing but some money… work wisely…
• Get all of your stuff very cheap at ACME Sell It All, and your pallets and equipment at the old, abandoned vehicle shop…
• There is one sellpoint to sell stuff – ACME Buy It All… they accept everything…
Disclaimer: this is a highly detailed map, at 16x the normal default size, using several custom
textures to achieve visual realism, and as such will likely require a strong, high spec PC to run…
especially if you have many mods on the farm. The only solution to this issue is to not use any mods and/or turn the settings down. Additionally, to avoid unforseen issues and conflicts, please have ONLY this map in the mod folder as having multiple maps in the folder will cause issues as the game loads all the scripts from all the maps, including the active one…
IMPORTANT: As this map has a built-in GEO to simulate the conditions in the midwest, there is NO NEED to use a custom GEO…
IMPORTANT NOTES: Due to the fact that Seasons does not like maps this large, you WILL need to start a save with Seasons NOT ACTIVE, then save, exit and re-enter the save with Seasons ACTIVE. Once this has been done, Seasons will run fine with the map. The first load with Seasons active will take a few moments longer than most smaller maps due to the large size of this one. This will only be an issue the first time. FAILURE to do this step WILL result in Seasons hanging the map and not allowing it to load at all.
ADDITIONALLY… there may be a small bit of stutter when working fields closer to the edges of the map and this effect may also be detectible in the clouds as well. This is NOT a performance issue with the PC, but rather is a game issue related to the size of the map. At present, there is no fix for this.
